Peelander-Z w/Electric Eel Shock & The Joy of Painting

Rock
Nashville Scene Critic's Pick …

Once upon a time, in the Z-region of Planet Peelander (rumors circulate that it was 1998 in New York City), a trio of Japanese-born, spandex-clad punks united to deliver a good-natured, frenzied assault with a party cannon of powerhouse riffage. Sharing a sense of humor with Zappa, Ween and King Missile, and often opting for a specially honed dialect of pidgin English, P-Z  sometimes comes across like Electric Mayhem with Animal left in charge, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. They share the bill with like-minded but somewhat heavier outfit Electric Eel Shock, who play Hawkwind to their New York Dolls, and Joy of Painting, local purveyors of snappy and danceable New Wave rock.
