The world hasn’t seen much of The Faint over the past four years. Formerly on Saddle Creek, the disco-goth band abandoned the label that propelled them into indie rock stardom, released a mediocre collection of bleeps and bloops called Fasciinatiion in 2008 and proceeded to vanish from the face of the earth. Which is why you can understand my surprise when Saddle Creek announced the band’s intentions to tour the country in celebration of Danse Macabre’s release more than a decade ago. The band descends upon Nashville to perform glitchy dance punk about corpses at Cannery Ballroom, where they’ll tackle the entirety of Danse Macabre and more from their sexed-up indietronica back catalog.
