Old Crow Medicine Show w/Pokey LaFarge and the South City Three

Country
Nashville Scene Critic's Pick …

What better way to ring in the New Year than with a good ol’-fashioned hoedown courtesy of Old Crow Medicine Show at the Ryman. After a handful of early December appearances, the Appalachian bluegrass sextet return with Pokey LaFarge & The South City Three to greet 2013 in the perfect Southern setting. But for Old Crow, it’s no new honor this’ll be the third time they’ve headlined the Ryman’s Dec. 31 show since 2009. Sure, you’ll get a chance to rock one another like a “Wagon Wheel” before the ball drops, but expect to get a good dose of their newest album Carry Me Back — the band’s best first-week seller and highest-charting record yet — fresh off its July release. At this point, Old Crow Medicine Show at the Ryman is becoming a Nashville New Year’s Eve staple.
