Loss w/Bell Witch, Clorange & Brother Ares

Nashville Scene Critic's Pick …

Before you ask — no, the members of Bell Witch are not from Adams, Tenn. They’re from Seattle. And yes, it is a little disappointing that a local metal outfit hadn’t snatched up this name. (C’mon guys, get on your game!) But we’re not going to complain about another great metal show in the run-up to Halloween. Also, Bell Witch is a badass name, and we’re just happy it’s being used by a funeral-doom duo and not some Robertson County asshats who listen to Avenged Sevenfold. We’re anxiously anticipating the band’s Profound Lore Records debut — Nov. 13 can’t come soon enough! — until which we’re occupying ourselves with the nine-minute promo edit of the 20-minute album opener “Bails (of Flesh),” which really only hints at the brutality to come in the last 11 minutes. Loss, Clorange and Brother Ares open up.
