Shalom Foundation Benefit

Nashville Scene Critic's Pick …

While we may have superficial disagreements with the direction that electronic music has taken in the last few years — you’ve corrupted our dear Tay-Tay and spouted bullshit about something called a “legal rave” — we can’t really complain about the fact that some of the most successful promoters in town now leverage their power for good. Tonight’s show, with Detroit native and future-funk master Griz, sees a portion of the proceeds going to The Shalom Foundation, which provides educational and support services to needy families. It’s a night of great tunes from one of America’s best up-and-coming electronic acts, and it benefits folks in need at just the time of year when they’ll need it most. If you come out and kick in, we promise we won’t make fun of your fuzzy boots.
