We Came As Romans w/Crown the Empire, Owls In the Attic & Take Captive the Captain

Pop/Rock
Nashville Scene Critic's Pick …

Who knew pop hits could sound so good played in the style of metalcore? We Came as Romans have proven that Top-40 jams like The Wanted’s “Glad You Came” and Justin Timberlake’s “My Love” sound even betterwith scorching growls, double-bass drums and heavy-yet-melodic guitars. When they’re not on Pop Goes Punk compilations, they’re churning out their own harmonious and intense hardcore jams like “To Plant a Seed” and “Mis//Understanding.” The Generation Y-friendly band (plagued with labels like “scene,” or even “screamo”) delivers uplifting messages to its youthful crowds underneath all those breakdowns. After touring for pretty much the past two years straight, the members of We Came as Romans have grown up on the road, and have developed a stellar, high-energy live show as well as newer music with more mature and contemplative themes.
