At the crossroads of the Blues & Heavy Metal lie some of the most legendary Rock & Roll bands to ever walk to earth, and now Omega Swan will continue the legacy of Rock & Roll in this modern age. Marcus Garceau, Mark Madison, and William Burgess, the powerhouse trio dubbed Omega Swan from Nashville, TN, have sculpted a brand new image of modern Rock music, and they have quickly started to captivate audiences around the U.S.
"Music today is missing a very important element" Garceau says. "The deep blues. No ones got that anymore, granted it's 2013. Rock & Roll just needed a little re-inventing, and I think we've got something brand new." Listen to Omega Swan's debut album, OS-1, and you will hear exactly what Marcus is talking about. While rooted deep in the blues and classic rock, Omega's sound brings in a vast array of new musical styles that are part of the modern culture. The debut touches on elements of rock, electronica, metal, funk & many other "genres" that you'll have to hear to understand.
OS-1 carries with it the energy that Omega Swan brings to every live performance. Whether it be at a hot, steamy Nashville basement or a concert hall packed with thousands of people, the band puts on a show reminiscent of the glory days of Rock & Roll, and this chaos was all channeled into the production of the record. Recorded over a 6 month period in various world famous studios such as RCA Studio B, OceanWay Nashville, and Redact Studios, Omega Swan's OS-1 is the start of a new movement of Rock & Roll.
"The goal for the Omega record was to create something that truly captured what the band is all about" 23 year old drummer Mark Madison says. "Omega Swan isn't just a band, we are a band and a party. The music gets it started, and we bring the high energy that takes things to another level. The album represents that in the best way possible."
The effect provides OS-1 with raw power, captivating energy, and wonderful nostalgia for the fans who witnessed the madness Omega Swan brought to various basements during their rise. One can be teleported to a party on the moon when listening to space rock-anthem "Planet Rad" or the face-melting riffery on "Alien". Other songs transcend the underground rock sound and portray the bands innovative musicianship, songs like "Arrow Through my Brain" and the ballad of the record titled "Luna". OS-1 covers such a range of different sounds and styles, but one thing is for certain. Omega Swan, as young as they are, have developed their own sound that will be recognizable for ages to come.
To preserve the true essence of Rock & Roll, Omega Swan - OS-1 will be released to 12" vinyl, as well as on CD and digital formats. No matter which format you choose, the music will take you to a place few have reached. You may not be able to hear Marcus's teeth grinding against his guitar strings, or feel the heat of the energy the band omits on stage, but you'll get the idea. Omega Swan is on the road to becoming the next big Rock & Roll band of this modern generation, and lord knows we need one.
