Scott H. Biram w/Joshua Black Wilkins

Pop/Rock
Nashville Scene Critic's Pick …

Which Scott H. Biram will show up for this gig? The brilliant one-man-band whose performances are a cultural mash-up using country and blues as the springboard for anything from “Lil’ Son” Jackson ballads to thrash-metal guitar solos, or the sot who shambles from song to song and cusses out his audience before the inevitable meltdown? The former has just released the gritty new single “White Trash Song” with Shooter Jennings, and put out a string of wry, thorny and occasionally touching albums like 2011’s Bad Ingredients that loft the punk-Americana torch. The latter’s been known to whip it out onstage. Lately, this Texas tornado’s been on good behavior — touring Europe, opening for Social Distortion and letting his smartly honed backwoods virtuosity take the wheel — so it’s likely safe to call “shotgun.”
