The name itself presents a terrifying image- a mangled, forced extraction, quite literally "removal by cutting". It should come as no surprise that the sounds behind this name are just as filthy, brutal, and unforgiving as the namesake suggests.
Excision shows are like no other- a virtual apocalypse of twisting and morphing sounds turn massive crowds into a frenzy, as virtual walls of bass are relentlessly impaled time and time again upon their fragile bodies and ears. Your ears will ring and your eyes will roll into the back of your head as you are suspended in what can only be called a true sensory overload. Bass will rain down from above for hours as Excision's skills as a DJ and producer shine like an unholy light from the underworld.
The true champion of bass music, Excision hails from Kelowna, British Columbia. The founder of the ROTTUN label, a bass music conglomerate that has shaped the sound of modern Bass music, Excision has created a vast roster of allies that has only bolstered his spot as a warrior of bass music. Armed with a library of destruction and filth, Excision has time and time again tested the limits of electronic music with vastly different sets that encompass a full range of genres. The things you see and hear during the precious time you are engaged by Excision's sounds will eclipse your mind for a lifetime, as you are constantly enlightened by the true fervor and energy that only an Excision set can provide.

Artist Bio:
VASKI is an American dubstep artist whose remix of Usher's "Climax" was one of the most blogged about tracks of 2012. With all the buzz about America's take on dubstep and the EDM crossover, Vaski's star has been quickly rising, though he is by no means a flash in the pan. The young midwestern prodigy is embarking on the wildest year of his career, beginning in January 2013 he will accompany Excision and Paper Diamond on the EXECUTIONER TOUR, consisting of 50+ shows all across North America. Oh, and did we mention he's only 22?
Influenced by his earlier genre interests like screamo, metalcore, and hip-hop (what most American teens were into at this time), he recombines these to create a style that the press and general public has eaten up. He began as many EDM youths do, making bedroom beats and figuring out software DIY style. After gaining confidence with his tools and tracks, Vaski went looking for his break the old fashioned way. Vaski was going to community college while working as a bank teller when he finally got a reply on MySpace from Rottun Records saying they wanted to release his work. Ever since then, he's been either on the road or in the studio.
Starting with this first single, Resonate, each of Vaski's successive releases have enjoyed healthy chart status (all of them have broken the top 10 on BeatPort dubstep, while a few have gone to #1). His tracks have gotten regular support from headlining household names like Diplo, Rusko, Nero, Kill the Noise, Excision and so on, while his own abilities as a DJ have rivaled some of the aforementioned names.
Vaski's main objective is to make people move. He has recently incited crowds across three continents and nearly a dozen countries to literally lose control of their bodies. As a DJ, 2012 finds the artist touring Australia and New Zealand again, with a European tour in the works. On the production side, Vaski has several things cooking in the pot, including a tough new single, "Insane," with vocalist Ava, who has collaborated with Lupe Fiasco and Bassnectar. Coming out this summer on Rottun Records.

Hailing from the land of Breakbeat and Brown Water, Micah McGee, aka Strooly, is on a mission fueled by heavy bass and black coffee. Relatively new to the game, Strooly pulls inspiration from all genres making sure to appeal to everyone listening. “I want to do everything I can to make sure I’m not pigeon-holed into one genre, so I make sure to keep a plethora of genres, Footwork, Grime, House, Moombahton, Future Bass, Hip Hop, etc., in heavy rotation whether I’m at home producing or out playing a show.”
During the last few years, Strooly has found himself involved in a number of projects, including co-founding Voodoo Village Recordings, a forward thinking bass label based out of Memphis, TN, resident DJing at Electrocity, the largest and longest running dance party also in Memphis, and most recently his two-piece project GRIM, a dark-bass post-trap project composed along side close friend Anthoney Carter.
