Chandelle Album Release w/ Kent Goolsby, Zach Ryan and the Renegades & Jack Evan Johnson
Pop/Rock
When she relocated to Nashville, Nevada native Chandelle Gleed brought with her the dry, shimmering sound of the desert, as well as a nearly finished debut album. Under construction for almost three years, Cheatgrass Prison showcases Gleed’s tendencies toward blues and soul, while channeling Moon Pix-era Cat Power. Gleed and her band celebrate its release tonight with help from collaborators and birds of a feather, starting with her cousin and labelmate Jack Evan Johnson, better known as frontman for the widely traveled rock act Dude City. Next up are Zach Ryan and the Renegades, who work in the country-tinged rock territory most recently surveyed by Drive-By Truckers. Rounding out the bill is familiar face Kent Goolsby, whose literary tunes will be backed by a top-notch band, including the virtuoso father-son guitar team of Mike and Steve Daly.
