Ty first began playing the guitar (an old Stella) when he was 12 years old. He began singing Dylan covers to his own guitar playing a couple of years later. When he was 14 he won a (small Harmony) guitar on a movie theater ticket stub! He began writing songs at age 17; began recording in the 70's to present and moved to Nashville, TN in Nov. 2007 to pursue a career in the music business full time. In the summer of 2008 - present he has been hosting Singer-Songwriter nights in Nashville at various venues (including Hall of Fame Lounge, Norm's River Roadhouse, Matty's Alley, The French Quarter Cafe, Richards Cajun Cafe, The Flatrock Cafe, the Maxwell House Hotel, "Picks" (the legendary Hall of Fame Lounge near Music Row, the Hotel Indigo on Union St. and most recently MadDonna's Loft in E. Nashville.) In the Fall of 2010 Ty began hosting a weekly radio show at Radio Free Nashville. Ty has had some independent cuts by other artists and is currently writing with, and working with, some of the best talent in Nashville. He is an ASCAP and NSAI member, as well as a member of the Americana Assn. & the IMBA. Ty loves musical performers, singer-songwriters, and discovering (and helping) new talent.
