Jay Pilzer
Singer-SongwriterArtist Bio:
I have been playing and singing since I was a teenager. I lived in Nashville for a decade and there became interested in song writing as I watched and listened to some of the best in the world perform their songs. Over the years, I have written hundreds of songs and performing them live have found those that have consistently entertained and/or informed. That to me is nearly as important to the process as the writing itself. Which songs have appealed to a wide range of audiences over time? I am an unabashed folkie. The songs of David Olney, Townes Van Zandt, Stan Rogers, David Mallett and many more have enriched my life and set a high bar which I strive to clear. I released a CD several years ago which has been well received and have continued writing. I was able to have some great musicians contribute to the project. The CD is available through CD Baby. For some MP3s and more information on the CD, click on "Jay's CD". I am a retired professor of History, a guitar dealer (click on New Hope Guitar Traders if you are interested), and a Scuba Instructor. I perform because I enjoy it and it is necessary if my songs are to have life. I want to make a connection with an audience that combines reflection and a good time. The two are not mutually exclusive. Humor and some story telling are a significant part of my performing style. I can be reached at (931) 433-1955 or via email at jpilzer@guildguy.com.

Chris Lee
Christian & Gospel, CountryArtist Bio:
Chris Lee’s story sounds like a country song waiting to be written. Born in the Central California town of Visalia, Chris discovered music at an early age. Near the same fertile fields that shaped the sounds of Merle Haggard and Buck Owens, Chris learned the craft of songwriting and how to tell a story through song.
“I started playing in church when I was 12. It was there that Chris had a life changing moment that led him to pursue his dream full force. An influential Christian evangelist pulled Chris aside and told him, “Not only will you pluck the strings on your guitar, but you will pluck the strings of people’s hearts through music.” That was all he needed to hear.

Caeland Garner
Artist Bio:
Caeland Garner grew up on a small farm in Coleridge, North Carolina. At a young age he found his passion for music through his father Chuck Garner, who was also a musician. Playing guitar by ten years of age and adding piano, banjo, dobro, steel guitar, and mandolin by the age of sixteen, Caeland discovered his profound love for bluegrass and old country music. While being on multiple sports teams in college, he was also traveling to Nashville on weekends to play with the country singer Red Marlow. Upon graduating college with a double major in chemistry and biology, he decided to move to Nashville to pursue his country music dreams. However in 2010, after playing for several country groups, Caeland decided he was ready to pursue a solo artist career. He started writing full time, and in April 2010, Caeland signed a publishing deal with Johnny Reid Publishing. In January of 2011 he went into the studio to record his first EP record that consisted of four songs he had written or co-written. When asked what his ultimate goal in music is he replied, "God has lead me here and given me the opportunity to make my dreams come true. Now I just want to play the music that is in my heart, and along the way try and help others in anyway that I can. Just like the countless people that have gotten me this far."

Shantel Adams
CountryArtist Bio:
Shantel's love for music started at a young age and after learning guitar in high school she began writing songs instead of poetry in English class. Her very first cut was a song she wrote at age 17 which ended up being recorded by the Canadian duo "Sisters" and peaked to #2 on the "Made in Canada Country Countdown".
Years later she has a stack of credits including numerous cuts on independent projects, several Tennessee Songwriter's Association International awards and radio airplay as a writer and an artist in Canada, Europe and the USA. The diversity of topics, styles and moods of her songwriting is remarkable. This coupled with her natural gift to perform and skills on the guitar unite for an unforgettable audience experience. You will find songs of seriousness, fun, faith and some just pure laughs in her repertoire. She is a woman who is dedicated to her Christian faith and strives to promote a positive influence to everyone she plays for, in addition to presenting a “family friendly” show.

Darcy Slade
Artist Bio:
I am originally from Walnut Creek, California, which at one time was a quiet, middle class town and bedroom community to San Francisco and Oakland, where most people living there worked. W.C. today is fairly affluent and now considered a main corporate hub of Northern CA. I grew up a fairly quiet kid who had very little interest in following the crowd. I discovered my passion for music in my early teens, so by the time I found the stage a few short years later, I continued to grow musically and started writing songs at about 19. Co-fronted four gigging bands over a twenty year period performing in clubs, for corporate parties, wedding receptions, etc. Co-founded the country southern rock band "Sunstorm" where we had a degree of higher success, sharing the bill on separate occasions with the Elvin Bishop group, and Grateful Dead offshoot band "The Ghosts". Music was about 50% original. Have been writing songs since my late teens in various genres. Electric Bass, Acoustic, Electric Guitar and Piano are my main instruments. Enjoy arranging music, especially vocal parts. A natural at harmonies. I am usually playing bass in a band situation, but have had plenty of guitar and keyboard performing experience. I have been involved in a number of recording sessions. Self produced independent CD release in 2003. Completed three semesters of college music theory. Know the Nashville number system. Currently living and thriving in Nashville TN, where I continue to cultivate my creative spirit, interacting with fellow songwriters and musicians alike.

Melissa Miller
Artist Bio:
First of all, thank you so much for your interest in my music. I've been inspired by music since I can remember; I love a song that brings me back to the day I heard it. Music is there on my great days and is my medicine on my dull days. My music is about my life and events I have experienced. I write about anything and everything.
Who is Melissa Miller? First and foremost, I am a writer. I am a 24-year-old who has been obsessed with words since I started talking. I talk too much. I enjoy telling completely random facts about myself in no particular order, and that’s what this “About Me” page will convey. I dream big dreams. I love clichés, and take every attempt to live my life to the fullest. I love to travel. I am fascinated by New York City and in love with Nashville. Big cities make life feel magical. I love all of the whimsical atmospheres of big cities. Every time I meet someone new, I always wonder what role that person will play in my life. I believe everybody has a unique gift and that it's up to him or her to discover that gift. I love purple. I am that girl who is always running late and who will purposely drive another lap around the block to finish listening to a song. I live my life setting goals and climbing mountains to reach those goals. I am extremely friendly and always anxious to make sure people are happy. I thank God for every breath and every new day. I am insanely close to my family. I love the ocean and have a tiny tattoo of a palm tree. I really want to visit the island of Seychelles. My favorite people are the ones who can be successful and genuine and obnoxiously funny all at the same time. Those people don't let "titles" go to their heads. They stay true to their hearts and never forget what it's like to be young. I strive to emulate those people. I also love kittens and prank calling my friends.
I am a Cedarburg, Wisconsin native. I bought my first guitar, a turquoise Fender Stratocaster, when I was 14. The main reason I bought it is because I was in love with Tom DeLonge of Blink 182, and he had one. So I had to too. After high school, my punk phase faded along with my guitar playing. I never did put down my pencil though. I've kept a diary since forever. I am overly detailed about my life because I love remembering every moment, even if it's as little as, "Today I ate strawberries and then watched a movie with my sister." My love for guitar reappeared during my college days, but this time it was a love for acoustic. I took my journals, picked up my guitar, and now I've written hundreds of songs. Some of them will never be released, some of them will never be heard, but some of them will be. I hope when you hear my songs, you are inspired the way music and words have inspired me- of all my dreams, that one is my greatest.
Much love,
MM
