Jerry Foster
CountryArtist Bio:
Jerry was born in a log house in a town with a population of 59. He was raised on music and hard work and from age 9, he traveled beside his father and their team of mules, raising cotton and corn. While at school, he earned extra cents by selling poems to his school seniors. His father had bought him a guitar at age 5 and taught him to play a few chords and soon Jerry was taking part in the family get-togethers. A natural performer, he eventually hit the road and earned money as a picker. Then he went to Parris Island and spent two months learning how to become a Marine. He formed a local group and played weekends.
He began putting melodies to his poems and this led to a recording deal, in 1958, with the Houston-based Backbeat label. Foster’s popularity began to grow, and he secured his first TV series on WSAF Savannah, Georgia. He then moved to KFVS-TV in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, with his own show and also as talent booker.
Jerry had his first cut in 1968, when Charley Pride recorded The Day The World Stood Still, which reached the Top 5, and followed it up with the Top 3 hit, The Easy Part’s Over, the latter earning the first of their two BMI awards. The following year, Jeannie C. Riley had a Top 40 success with The Back Side Of Dallas. In 1970, Stan Hitchcock had back-to-back hits with Call Me Gone and Dixie Belle. However, that same year, Mel Tillis had a Top 5 with Heaven Everyday.

Bill Maier
CountryArtist Bio:
Listening to Bill Maier and Ten Gallon Fat will leave you feeling as satisfied as a great big helping of moms apple pie... ala mode of course! .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. For years a dynamic performer on the New York music scene, Bill Maier's talents as a songwriter and singer earned him the respect of his musical peers, and rave reviews in local and national publications. Performing Songwriter Magazine said, Maier writes lyrics that touch the heart, and melodies that stay in your head. Newsday's Nightbeat called him a songwriting sharpshooter ...one of New York's best kept musical secrets." .. Maier and his band, Ten Gallon Fat cut it's teeth playing legendary New York City clubs like Kenny's Castaways, The Bitter End, and the now defunct Crossroads. The band earned it's reputation as one of the top live acts around, appearing in the finals of the Long Island Music Festival, and being selected as one of the Top Ten bands in the NY Tri State area by WCCN radio in Connecticut. Despite their success as a live band, the band only managed to release one full length CD before Maier moved to Nashville to concentrate on his songwriting. .. Maiers songwriting reputation is spreading from New York to Nashville and beyond. His song, Little Tin Can, was judged among the top songs in the CMT/Nashville Songwriters Associations Songwriting Contest. A few trips to Music City brought him some new fans, the attention of a few major music publishers, and the opportunity to perform in-the-round with an A-list of Nashville hit writers, including Bob DiPiero, Deborah Allen, Alex Call, and Stewart Harris. With each successive trip to Nashville, Maier became more entrenched in the Nashville music scene, working with music publishers and writing with many talented writers. He decided to make Nashville his home in July 2006.

Tim Shean
Singer-SongwriterArtist Bio:
When I was born in Manhattan, NYC, my parents were studing at The Art Students League. This is "Julliard" for Artists. We moved up to Woodstock, NY from Jr H.S. thru college yrs. I've been fortunate to live and gig all over the country since I left in 1977. My High School band started in 1965 and I began recording in 1968. Growing up in Woodstock, thru the '60's and '70's, I was exposed to a very wide variety of musical styles. Legendary musicians and writers. The local writers were Happy and Artie Traum (Please check out http://artietraum.com/index.html), Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Tim Hardin, Eric Anderson, Jackie Lomax, The Band (Garth Hudson used to give me albums as they came out), Todd Rundgren, Leslie West. Local sax player, David Sanborn. Local Harp player, Paul Butterfield. Local bands were Orleans (Still The One, Spring Fever), The Full Tilt Boogie Band (Janis Joplin's band for the Pearl album), Full Moon (Buzz Feiten, Neil Larson), The Fabulous Rhinestones (Kal David, Harvey Brooks, Terry Grebb), Stuff (Richard Tee,Eric Gale, Steve Gadd). (Kal David, Happy and Artie Traum, John Hall and Larry Hoppen, Buzz Feiten are the men who had the most influence on the development of my personal style of guitar playing, along with John Plantania and David Lindley and Dwayne Allman(esp. the album Push, Push). They're the ones who set the bar as to what it takes to be a Pro. Always sing and play your ass off, Always. Write your own tunes. If you play a cover song, make it your own version. Local jazz players were Warren Bernhart -piano, Michael Mainieri -vibes, Jack Dejonette -drums. Acoustic music; Happy and Artie Traum, Billy Faire, Loudon Wainright III, Folks from the Jim Kweskin Jug Band; Geoff and Maria Muldar, Bill Keith and Jim Rooney. Also Amos Garrett, Jim Weider, Cindy Cashdollar. Lots more. Lots more. Not bad for a little Catskill Mountain town of only 3,500 people.
