Cellist Felix Wang is apparently vying to become Nashville’s classical music iron man. A Blair School of Music professor, Wang seems to be obsessed with performing. He recently gave the world-premiere performance of a new cello concerto by Michael Alec Rose. Next week, he’s at it again, performing Schumann’s Cello Concerto in A minor with the Nashville Sinfonietta. The concert, which is a benefit for the Shade Tree Clinic, will also feature Dean Whiteside leading Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A major.
