Dave Mason Unplugged

Pop/Rock
Nashville Scene Critic's Pick …

As a founding member of Traffic, Dave Mason was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, but he’s worthy of induction on the strength of his own résumé. During his intermittent relationship with the seminal folk-soul-rock group, Mason penned one of their most enduring hits, “Feelin’ Alright,” and lent his guitar and vocal talents to a who’s-who of artists, who often paid him back in-kind on his own albums. Since his solo debut, Alone Together, Mason’s clear tenor and shimmering 12-string guitar have been a constant in his work, and have appeared in one form or another on All Things Must Pass, Beggars Banquet and even in the rhythm section of Hendrix’s definitive cover of “All Along the Watchtower.” This all-acoustic tour finds Mason focusing on his singing and playing rhythm, leaving lead guitar duty to longtime bandmate Johnne Sambataro.
