The birth of Conductor Kelly and the Underground Railroad came about in the summer of 2011 when guitarist and vocalist Andy Dozier formally of the band Pay the Sky decided to join forces with guitar virtuoso Al Ward. Together he and Al saw a need to put together a band that reflected the vintage sounds of old blues, rock, funk, Soul and punk. Conductor Kelly and the Underground Railroad are seeking to create a movement through their music that will sweep across the Nashville music scene. Their goal is to bring their unique and positive message of music to the hearts and souls of each and every individual who listens. Their debut self titled album was recorded in April of 2012 by sound engineer Voytek Kochanek who has worked with the likes of Ozzy Osborne, Steve Vie, Peter Frampton and Usher just to name a few. Conductor Kelly will continue to tour extensively in the summer to promote their full length album while continueing to write and record new material with the goal of retuning to the studio at the end of 2012.
