Sure, it may involve barging into random garages in Sylvan Park just to hit a quota, but that could be fun, couldn’t it? We suggest starting your wanton consumption of music with this ultra-alliterative triple bill at Springwater. West Chester, Pa.,’s Backwoods Payback make big, fuzzed-up stoner rock, Columbus Ohio’s Before the Eyewall take their sludge to the outer edges of space, and locals Black Tar Prophet make noise-strewn doom experiments that are some of the city’s most intense and interesting tunes. It’s an intense enough evening to make up for the fact that you’re not in Texas with all your friends.
