Orig, A.K.A Ray Riddle, was born in San Diego CA on July 17, 1981. After moving to TN in 1994, he developed an interest in the art of turntablism and soon after was DJing house parties and local events. By 2000, he played his first DJ gig in downtown Nashville at the Embers Showcase for 2 consecutive weekends. He found a weekly spot at the Muse on Thursday nights playing Hip Hop and Jungle along with other Electronic DJs. Ray eventually earned a position as a promoter / producer of a weekly event along with friend DJ Pyro-Tek. After holding down a residency for a year at the Muse, Ray and his friend Big Smo began to produce Dirty South Rap music out of Big Smo’s country shack/ studio under the label name of Yayoda Records in 2003. They decided to pick their best songs and release their first album, Kuntry Kitchen, which showcased local talent in the small town that he and Big Smo lived. After 1,000 copies of the album were sold out of the trunk of their cars, and in locally owned music stores, Ray and Big Smo began working on their second album. In 2005 he moved to Nashville to pursue his DJ and Engineer/Producer career. Ray attended and completed SAE audio engineering school receiving certification. Ray has DJ’d for bigger Rap acts like YIN YANG TWINS and HAYSTAK as well as local artists. He is heavily involved in the Nashville DJ scene ranging from Electronica to Hip Hop. MASHVILLE is the monthly DJ show that is produced by YUNG AND UGLY, the DJ and promotional crew that he manages. In 2008, GET GOT was formed as a Funk Hip Hop Fusion band with influences of many genres of music. With only three members in the band, the sound is full of groove and energy to keep the fan’s bodies moving on the dance floor or heads nodding in their cars while traveling to the show. Ray has managed to keep himself busy with many successful projects. He is currently in the middle of completing two albums.
