Renaissance genre-bender Ken Stringfellow’s illustrious career spans more than two-and-a-half decades, from his days as a founding member of The Posies to his tenure with Big Star and R.E.M. In between fronting a Norwegian rock band and producing and collaborating with other artists, Stringfellow recently released his third solo album, Danzig in the Moonlight. The Paris-based artist, who passed through Music City with the Posies and Brendan Benson in late 2010, is playing his long overdue first solo show in Nashville. Expect a sharp departure from his multifaceted, intricately arranged album — an intimate, stripped-down set full of surprises. (Although we’ll give one away now: Local chanteuse Amy Stroup of Sugar & the Hi Lows will join him on a sweet little death ballad.)
