I am a total roots musician. From blues and soul, to folk and country, and any other genre you can conjure up in between. I was born in The Shoals area of Alabama and have always been enamored by its rich musical history and strange river magic. It is, without a doubt, the source of my strength and sanity. As well as the majority of my musical inspiration. Relocating to Nashville, TN, 4 years ago was a tough, yet fantastic decision. I have met many wonderful people to find new ways to say the same things songwriters continually try to say. I have been beat up in this town and been called the next big thing, so your guess to where i truly stand is up to you. I am about to release my first record. It's had many working titles but is now finalized as "As the Fog Rolls Off the River," and should be out in early to late April. Be watching for me coming to your city and your radio stations. Listen to Jonathan Wells and you will say "Now there is a voice". Big smooth vocals that make you want to listen to what ever type of song he is singing, and those songs are usually a fine blend of Country, Gospel and Rock. A gifted songwriter, he knows what works for him. He comes by it naturally. His story starts back stage wrapped in blanket and set in a suitcase while his parents performed in the Gospel trio they were part of. By the time Jonathan was in his teens he had mastered playing the piano, flute and saxophone and had begun working on the guitar. A North Carolina native he started finding venues to perform in around Charlotte at the age of 15.

Born and raised on a working farm in Tn, on the Cumberland Plateau, big family, lots of kinfolks and cousins. A typical family reunion had about 150 or more people at it. Nights and days in summer working on the farm and neighbors properties. If a neighbor needed help you helped, if you got paid that was nice. When I started working in public, I couldn't believe how easy it was, since hard work was all we knew. Love writing and performing original songs with friends and family. Grew up with a good foundation, from my mother and father. Jesus Christ has always been part of my life, I believe every word of the bible, Father Son and holy Spirit, I look forward to Christ soon return to this earth, and pray I am here to see it, if not I'll be watching from the throne of God.

CherryCase hails from Nashville, TN, but will always be from Carolina at heart. Frontman Jake Etheridge started CherryCase as an acoustic project in early 2006.
