Nashville Scene Critic's Pick …

Having settled in at The East Room — the occasional venue up on Gallatin Road just across the street from FooBar — seasonal local-rock fest East Nashville Underground has beefed up its lineup with each passing installment. Taking place Friday and Saturday, the winter 2013 edition of ENU will feature Friday night performances from party-time electro-popsters Machines Are People Too, coed soul revivalists Magnolia Sons, QOTSA-esque heavy rockers All Them Witches and more. Saturday will feature daytime performances from indie-rock tunesmiths Colorfeels, synth-pop party monsters Hanzelle and singer-songwriter K.S. Rhoads, with nighttime sets from jam masters Moon Taxi, feel-good indie-folk songster James Wallace and his Naked Light and more. Of course, there will be even more performers than that, with a couple of DJ sets sprinkled in there, and a “candy bar” at which you can fill a cup with goodies for just a buck (cute). (Fear not — real booze is available too.) Find East Nashville Underground on Facebook to see the full lineup and purchase three-day wristbands — hop on that quickly, though, as this thing very well may sell out.
