I was born in Minden, LA August 3rd, 1982. Grew up in the small town of Magnolia, AR where I graduated from Magnolia High School in 2001. I was born into a family of bluegrass musicians; where my mom and uncle toured with their bluegrass band from about 1978 thru 1984. My mom sang, played bass and guitar, my uncle played dobro. I began to grace the stage with them at shows around the age of 3 singing and playing (strumming) mandolin. I started seriously learning to play guitar and sing at age 7 entering talent shows and playing festivals all around the TX,OK, LA, AR area. I began dobro and lap steel at age 12 and I haven't looked back since. I had my own bluegrass band at age 16 until I moved to Nashville in the Summer of 2001 to begin Belmont University. I then started playing with the Whites - Grand Ole Opry members - I still do shows with them today. I've performed/recorded and/or did road gigs with SheDaisy, Ricky Skaggs, Vince Gill, Earl Scruggs, Sara Evans, Lynryd Skynyrd, Richard Marx, Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Emmylou Harris, and Jerry Douglas - to name few. I've performed at the Grand Ole Opry a number of times and traveled overseas with country and bluegrass artists. I graduated from Belmont in the summer of 2005 with degree in Music Business Management/Marketing. Writing, singing, recording and performing keeps me running day to day and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's been a part of my life since day one and continues to get more and more exciting everyday, especially with everything that's going on with my new country band KingBilly! We are writers for Chrysalis Music Nashville along with our Producer, Trey Bruce.... We have a show on the GAC country music network called "KingBilly," it will be airing all throughout the year... APA booking agency handles our tour dates, and we're also now new clients of Modern Management in Nashville--. Our debut single and album will be out this spring, so keep your eyes and ears open for it! If I couldn't play or sing music I guess I would fly planes ---I'm a pilot--- started learning to fly at age 14 --- my grandpa and uncle got me started in this, they're big avaition fans as well as myself and own small airport in south AR. I also love to hunt/fish/ride 4wheelers/chill at the lake and all of the other normal redneck activities!
