Tarryn Aimée Smith is a Nashville based singer-songwriter with a pure voice that some describe as an “edgier Allison Krauss.” She plays regularly at local restaurants and private parties, accompanying herself on guitar and mandolin, or with a band at music venues and festivals in Tennessee and various other states. Tarryn has been a featured artist on the Billy Block Show multiple times with her songs played live on Nashville's WKDF and was voted “WMBA Entertainer of the Year” in 2009 by the Women’s Music Business Association. Tarryn writes lyrics that capture everyday life experiences, and some of her tunes have been cut by other artists and placed on award-winning albums. She and her co-writers, Wil Nance and Steve Dean, penned the title cut of Jeff and Shari Easters’ “Expecting Good Things” album that was nominated for a 2011 GRAMMY, and subsequently the song has been placed on the Gaither Homecoming “Majesty” CD and DVD recorded live on an Alaskan cruise.
