10th Annual Southern Entertainment Awards
Ack, autoplay! We were going use this pick to detail all the great events that are going down in association with 10th anniversary of the Southern Entertainment Awards, but their Web designer clearly thinks that it’s still 2003 and has installed some sort of unstoppable music-widget on the events page. You can brave it yourself if you want, but be warned — it’s cranked up to 11, and there’s some sort of flash-animated Twitter link that roams all over the page. Or you can just trust us when we say that — all autoplaying aside — the SEA’s are the most respected and anticipated urban music show in the region. Since starting out in Nashville a decade ago, the SEA’s have bounced around a bit, including stops in Memphis and Tunica, but we’re glad to have them back where they started — and we’re double-extra-glad to have hometown homeboy Rio taking the stage as part of the awards ceremony.
