Growing up in Cypress, Texas Carlton Anderson quickly discovered a passion for all that is country music. Raised listening to the greats like Johnny Cash and Alan Jackson, Carlton knew without a doubt he wanted to create and perform country music worthy of getting people's attention. After high school graduation in 2010, Carlton followed his dad's footsteps and took a job in the oil field while attending a local community college, but he knew neither place was where his heart was. Despite Carlton's shy personality, people began to comment on his uniquely deep voice, and eventually with the proper encouragement, Carlton picked up a guitar and taught himself to play. Trying to balance school and pursue the beginning of his singing career became difficult and Carlton decided to take a year off of school to really focus on his music. Blessed with many opportunities, Carlton spent his last year in the Houston area playing almost every night in bars and various venues, developing a following, and saving every penny he earned. Finally Carlton was financially ready to take the next step and with tons of encouragement from family, friends, and followers that have come to adore him, Carlton packed up his stuff and moved to Nashville, to attend Belmont University. 2012 was a big year for Carlton, while playing well over 200 shows in Texas, he was given the opportunity to share the stage with some of the most popular names in Texas country like Charlie Robison (El Cerrito Place), and Roger Creager. After a first year of success beyond anything Carlton could have hoped for, he is excited to see what 2013 has in store.
