Hailing from North Carolina, Clint has drawn inspiration from his home state's heroes. There is so much great music that has come out of North Carolina,â Alphin says. James Taylor is perhaps my biggest influence; his poetic lyrics and unique melodies are what have inspired me to first write songs.
With a passion for performing and an art for writing, Clint longed to move to Nashville, TN. After graduating from two different universities with bachelorâÂÂs degrees (UNC Chapel Hill; Appalachian State), it seemed that the time was right.
Clint combines songwriting influenced by folk, bluegrass, and traditional music with a clear and tender tenor voice. His songs reach and move you through their words, wit, and heart.
In additon to performing around middle Tennessee, Clint is an active member of the International Bluegrass Music Association and the International Folk Alliance, attending and showcasing at their conferences regularly, and is actively booking and available for house concerts and venues for 2012-2013.
