I started out playing bass, generally, for Rockabilly and Honky Tonk bands. Not wanting to limit myself, I tried to play with anyone I could and learned how to play everything from the traditional "Americana" (whatever that means) to punk, rock 'n roll, Latin rhythms, ska and reggae.
After relocating to Nashville, Tn. from Houston, Tx., I had the honor of landing a spot backing the legendary Bob Wootton and the Tennessee Three from 2008 - 2009 in the US and Canada. I learned how to play upright bass listening to guys like Marshall Grant, so it was such a thrill to play Marshall's parts with the guy that was there playing guitar for the great Johnny Cash.
I've also toured and recorded with Kim Lenz and the Jaguars, Wayne Hancock, Los Skarnales, Chadd Thomas and the Crazy Kings, Sean Reefer and the Resin Valley Boys, Kim Carson and Johnny Falstaff just to name a few. I've also toured with Rosie Flores (which allowed me to back up Wanda Jackson several times), Greg Garing and Chris Scruggs.
