From a small town outside of Nashville, Tennessee, Wes Bowker is a police officer by occupation but better known by his community as a singer/songwriter/performer. Being born and raised near the songwriting capitol of the world, Wes was exposed early on to countless live performances, meeting many writers, and performing all while working on his craft through musical trial and reinvention. Fortunately, Wes' family members were all highly supportive of his musical endeavors, and encouraged Wes to take every opportunity to perform his songs to the public. Throughout his teenage years, Wes formed and performed with numerous garage bands including fronting Blues/Rock band SPUR who went on to record one album. After High School, Wes was introduced to the Nashville Roots Music Scene, when his music began to merge traditional blues and bluegrass instrumentation with Wes' rock songwriting style. While he hasn’t been signed to a label as of yet, he has performed his songs to the approval of several accomplished Nashville songwriters. Wes’ music is truly diverse and while it’s hard to categorize, it seems to have a broad spectrum of appeal. Drawing from many genres of music, the outcome is a refreshing combination of guitar guided original melodies, soulful vocals and an outpouring of message delivering lyrics. Wes has performed at the world famous Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, The Bluebird Cafe', Loretta Lynn’s Dude Ranch, The Sutler, Douglas Corner Cafe, and The Americana Folk Festival with Old Crow Medicine Show and The Avett Brothers. After three albums, Wes continues to produce and perform his songs in any venue that will let him drop in and share his stories and songs.
