Howling Brothers have been around for almost a decade but they seem poised for a breakthrough in 2013. Ian Craft (banjo, mandolin, fiddle, vocals), Ben Plasse (upright bass, banjo, vocals), and Jared Green (guitar, harmonica, vocals) have been developing their unique blend of bluegrass, old-time string band, country-blues and even Dixieland jazz for audiences all over and a regular gig on Lower Broad at Layla's Bluegrass Inn has assured they take no slack, but since meeting Brendan Benson while working with Cory Chisel, they've signed to Benson's Readymade Records label and the label honcho produced their new album "Howl" (out March 5). They didn't absorb pop or rock influences through the Benson connection, they just did what they do best and he captured it. Join us for an early Saturday in-store and bring your stompin' feet!
