Scott was born in Santa Monica, CA, but his southern roots run deep. His father, Joe, was born in the tiny town of Delight, AR, where he and Glen Campbell grew up together. His mother, Linda, has roots all over Tennessee, most of which are within two hours of where Scott now resides with his family in the town of Franklin, TN. He shares their old-fashioned farmhouse with his wife of 18 years, Melissa, and their two children, Emily and Larry. Living the life they have always dreamed of, they now take care of two horses, three goats, four dogs, eleven cats, and a bearded dragon lizard. From the time he was born, he was surrounded with music. His mother was an accomplished pianist and his father was a dedicated country music listener. He grew up with a wide range of musical influences from Glen to Johnny Cash to John Cougar Mellencamp to his Uncle Jack Reeves, and when he was twelve, picked up a guitar, taught himself a couple of chords, and never looked back. Music was his first love, but when he was in high school, he was bit by the acting bug, and living in Los Angeles, that was a fairly natural progression for a hungry artist. For the first few years, Scott was fortunate to land enough commercials to support his artistic habits and was soon working on a regular basis in the television and film industry. This enabled him to be able to devote more of his time to his musical endeavors and he released his first solo project in October of 2001
