Marty Stuart's Late Night Jam feat. Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives, Connie Smith, Oak Ridge Boys & Bobby BareCountry
Marty Stuart was born madly in love with country music. He knows all its roots and branches — from bluegrass to honky-tonk and everything in between — like the back of his hand. He’s proselytized on country’s behalf on TV and radio, been a collector of its artifacts (including platinum records and Grammys), and with his crack band of Fabulous Superlatives backing him up, has kicked off The Music Festival Formerly Known as Fan Fair every year since 2002 with a star-studded late-night blowout at the Ryman. This year’s show, a benefit for musicians’ health fund MusiCares, features country legends Bobby Bare and Connie Smith, who’ve both come out of semi-retirement in recent years with some of their best work ever. Charlie Worsham, a young gun who’s master of his own voice as well as several other instruments, joins the bill along with The Mavericks, who dance between classic country and early rock ’n’ roll with a Latin flair, The Oak Ridge Boys’ incredible gospel harmonies and a wealth of others guaranteed to keep the party moving into the wee hours.
