Born in the sleepy southern college town of Wingate, North Carolina, Wendy has been onstage since she was a child. Starting with local theater performances, Wendy has been onstage since the age of five singing, acting, playing the trumpet, violin, and piano for audiences, but had never considered herself a lead vocalist, just a good harmony singer. She decided to try singing lead when she was starting college, auditioning for a local band. After performing with several bands in the Carolinas while finishing college and graduate school, Wendy decided to take the leap and move to Music City. She has always known that if she were a believable singer, eventually there would be a place for her. Deciding that she had to be true to who she is, Wendy came out in her late 20s. Music was going to accept her not in spite of that fact, but because her music is good.
Since, Wendy has been entertaining folks for many years, including over a decade with the Nashville known group 3AM, singing from the heart and always believing that you connect with people when you sing what you have lived. She invites you to join her journey, supporting what she believes…good music is good music, and songs sung well speak to everyone. THAT is what it is.
