The girls of Michaelis are singing proof that the spirit of the cosmic cowboy (or cowgirl in this instance) is alive and well here in the 21st century. Sisters Meagan, Mallory, and Madeline have been called a “hippie-cowgirl trio” and “sweethearts of the post-modern rodeo”, but no matter what you call them, the sounds that they and producer Dave Brainard (Jerrod Neimann, Brent Anderson, Brandy Clark, Ray Scott) have been cranking out since teaming up in 2010 are undeniably original, innovative, and somehow as familiar as mama’s home cookin’. With Meagan singing lead, Mallory on guitar and low harmony, and Madeline on guitar, mandolin, and high harmony the girls can’t help but own any audience from note one.
Originally from Sugar Land, TX, Michaelis spent 8 years on the road performing throughout the Lone Star state and greater southwest at every fair, rodeo, bar, or backyard that would have them. In 2010 they made the big move to Nashville where they teamed up with Brainard and began to grow their tribe that now includes some of the top songwriters in town. Recently signing with AMP Entertainment, the girls of Michaelis couldn’t be more excited about what lies ahead. Look for them on a Texas stage near you soon!
