Cancelled due to weather - Musicians Corner Spring Season Kick Off feat. Charles Walker, Andrew Ripp & The Fairfield Four

Nashville Scene Critic's Pick …

UPDATE: This event has been canceled due to the threat of severe weather.

After putting on a well-attended downtown festival for Metro’s 50th anniversary, the city’s getting into the spring season of its free weekly Centennial Park series, Musician’s Corner. A couple of this week’s headliners are considered Nashville treasures: The Dynamites with Charles Walker (beloved not only by vinyl collectors, but by everyone who gets off on flashy, classic, horn-heated soul music) and the down-home a cappella gospel quartet The Fairfield Four (revered by everyone with a sense of gospel history, some of whom were doubtlessly introduced to it by the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack). Then there’s blue-eyed soul-pop songwriter Andrew Ripp, along with a well-stocked acoustic stage featuring Rouse Cousins, Levi Weaver, Taylor Brashears and Pony Boy. First, though, comes the parade of local food trucks and the beer garden.
