Carl Franklin Family Fundraiser

Bluegrass
Nashville Scene Critic's Pick …

A veteran fiddler and clogger who passed away suddenly at the end of last year, Carl Franklin had a lot of friends around Middle Tennessee’s bluegrass scene, and they’ve jumped at the chance to memorialize him and help his family members cope with bills. Donna Ulisse’s veteran group is firing on all cylinders these days, while Tina Adair recently returned from a long absence from the scene with a robust new album and band. The newest performer is Jennifer Strickland, earning some well-deserved attention after working as a sideman and hit songwriter. Other area stalwarts include the increasingly busy John Tomlin, and even Station Inn owner and semi-retired musician J. T. Gray is on board for a set.
