Austin TX | Alternative
"The trio have put together two focused, not at all naive funk-pop EPs, and are prepping their first, “cinematically” driven full-length."
"With 'Pre Wild,' Sphynx have again demonstrated their ability to craft catchy dance songs and cemented their position as one of the best pop acts coming out of Austin right now."
"Cory, Aaron, & Todd just seem like the names of 3 dudes who would get into the funked out party vibes. It’s only appropriate that they do that on the regular as Sphynx. It’s throwback. It’s futuristic. It’s happening right now and you should be dancing"
-The Burning Ear
"Here we've got a new breed, sharing a pedigree with Passion Pit and early MGMT...The whole thing comes together well, not too earnest, not too self-aware, the right amount of fun."
-My Old Kentucky Blog
"The band does a spectacularly bouncy, bright-smiling kind of electro-pop, effortlessly... for a sound that’s one part ’80s synth-pop, one part Prince funkiness, and two parts unabashed party-rock — Recommended."
-Space City Rock
"The best way to describe their sound would be if someone took Phoenix, and somehow shrunk them while making them sound better live."

Few bands can boast a back story as impressively bonkers as the world famous METH DAD.
After being canned from the American shot-put team at the 2008 Olympics in Bejing for his "party boy" attitude, Tyler Walker, AKA METH DAD vowed to give up his life of ball throwing and embrace one of, well… ball throwing. In the next 3 years he built a name for himself as the biggest and best one man party show in the galaxy.
But life on the FBIs most wanted list took it's toll. In December of 2011 he returned to America for the first time in 18 months, explaining that he had to come back because "You can't get any decent cheese in Djibouti." Things looked bleak for our hero; in January of 2012 he was found guilty on multiple accounts of bamboozlement, party-rocking and sorcery, and sentenced to 15 years imprisonment. METH DAD quietly accepted his sentence, saying he planned on devoting his many years of solitude to "booty bass and gaining immortality."
But fans were less patient. In the following year the MDLA (METH DAD Liberation Army) launched a massive grassroots campaign of guerrilla concerts, blue angel fly overs, senate walk outs and submarine sinkings. Threatened by a government in shambles, In the fall of 2012 President Obama offered to pardon METH DAD in return for his penning of a new national anthem.
But national wasn't the word for it at all. Global, universal or down right satisfying would be more fitting terms for METH DAD's opus "No Parents" which was released on New Year's Day 2013 and is still ranking number 1 on over 137 different music charts worldwide. In what has been described by Newsweek as "the only true phenomena" a massive, world wide simultaneous broadcast of the single on Martin Luther King day 2013 has ushered in a new era of peace, which some historians are calling a 2nd pax romana, that has to date doubled the total number of days in recorded history without war.
Not content to just merely write the best song ever, METH DAD spent much of this past spring working on his debut full length "POSI VIBES" and assembling the first ever METH DAD MEGA BAND. So what does METH DAD have planned for the rest of 2013, no one knows for sure, but to quote Jay-Z "A future filled with METH DAD is terrifying; a future without him is certain death."

WELCOME TO A CELEBRATION OVER 2,000 YEARS IN THE MAKING!!!
Yes, Virginia. Birth begins at immaculate conception.
Raised by a television in a Christian household, seven (sometimes 8!) multi-instrumentalists play a curious collection of instruments beneath a cascade of harmony and countermelody.
Their eloquent blasphemy is the truest devotion.
Last of The Horsemen
Nashville TN | Hip-Hop/Rap
Last of the Horsemen was spawned from the grimey spit on the bottom of satan's shoe, mixed in the soil of a million dead bodies, cooked up in a lab into addictive drugs and tested on monkeys and lab rats. This apocalyptic dream spins dark, twisted tales of life, fate, drugs, sex, power, hope, evil, light, nuclear war, evolution and zombies. Take a breath, save yourself, and abandon all hope. The Horsemen are here, the trumpets are blowing, things will never be the same......

“Spazzy deathgrind from Kentucky. I’m not sure where in Kentucky these guys are from, but I guarantee they’d scare the no-alcohol-drinking bible thumpers where the MetalSucks Mansion Kentucky Korner Vince Division is located screaming down to the road. They incorporate a bunch of other styles of metal into their grind attack too, which is sweet."

Gunther Doug evokes that unmistakable feeling of being squarely in front of the speaker as it is screaming eccentric melodies interlaced with throbbing bass lines and pounding drums. The Sarasota, FL natives have been playing music together for last three years. Since then, GD has relocated to the likes of Nashville, TN, undergone a complete name transformation and birthed a sound that harnesses elements from the simple Florida beach life all the way to the underground Nashville grunge-punk rock scene. Nearly three years on from playing rambunctious shows in friends' basements around Nashville, Gunther Doug has seen what its noise-rock anthems do to hungry music loving crowds. And with their latest self-titled EP ready to launch this summer, Gunther Doug will finally be able to deliver the promise their anxsty crowds have been waiting for. Written in and around a tree house in the backyard of their commune-style home, recorded at the Bomb Shelter in East Nashville, and mixed at Y'Alls House by Jeremy Clark himself, singer/guitarist Devin Robinson, bassist Andréa Randaci and drummer Ryan Elwell, took the year of 2012 and the Spring of 2013 to refine the sounds we will soon come to associate with the band - the post-punk guitar and crack-voiced melodies; rattling bass, and the pulse and clap of the drum. While the 3 piece continues to harness the often spastic intricacies of punk rock, there is something to be said for their equally cooled-out, slow-grind that interlaces through affably shouted vocal mantras and jarring lyrics that you simply have to experience for yourself.
The Hollywood Kills
Nashville TN | Rock
THE HOLLYWOOD KILLS is a band of four dapper gents from Nashville, TN who just love to rock. Lead by Jonathan Jircitano’s vast vocal range and deft guitar technique, guitarist Brent Powelson shines on background vocals and lead guitar, while the pulse of Preston Jackson’s growling bass is held tightly together by the command of drummer Brandon Jenkins.
On stage The Holllywood Kills are riveting, feeding off the energy of their ever-expanding fan base, and giving it back to the crowd ten-fold. The band's latest EP, An Idiot’s Guide to Desertion, released November 20, 2012, is a collection of fan favorites written during the early years of the band's conception, all previously recorded, but never before released.
“What sets The Hollywood Kills apart from the rest of the indie rock crowd is...The f-ing energy. These guys are all about their fans!”, writes Editor-in-Chief of LANDFILLS MAGAZINE. The feeling is mutual, the EP was entirely funded by fan donations leftover from the band's Kickstarter campaign & pre-order sales, a true testament to the dedication of the THK community.
While performing for fans is certainly what drives this emerging band to keep on keepin’ on, it is the simple pleasures that keep these southern gentlemen entertained. Together, they’ve been known to kick back with an afternoon of croquet in the Tennessee sun, indulge in an episode of WWE’s Monday Night RAW, or record themselves in precarious, yet hilarious situations--it's this unique outlook on life that flavors their music with such quirky emotion and personality.
