Stars for Second Harvest feat. Florida Georgia Line, Ronnie Dunn and friends

Nashville Scene Critic's Pick …

Now in its ninth year, Stars for Second Harvest raises money for a good cause, and it’s always an interesting snapshot of what’s happening in country music at the moment. Hosted by Nashville songwriter Craig Wiseman — the Mississippi native who’s written hits for Kenny Chesney and LeAnn Rimes — this year’s show features Florida Georgia Line, a duo composed of Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley. On last year’s full-length, Here’s to the Good Times, they came up with such chart-toppers as “Cruise,” a paean to Chevys with women included, and the super-hedonistic “Get Your Shine On.”  Florida Georgia Line will be joined by Ronnie Dunn, who gained fame as half of Brooks & Dunn before the duo parted ways in 2010.  Since then, Dunn has released a self-titled full-length, and such singles as “Let the Cowboy Rock.”  Also on hand is comedian Ralphie May.
