for Miz Jones

Windy Holler Music Writer's Show feat. Hal Newman, Larry Martin, Wood Newton, Cody Newman, Jim Sales, Brittney and Jonathan, Mike Loudermilk, & Rachel Newman

Singer-Songwriter

She was a Nashville girl.  Grew up at 100 Oaks.   Graduated from Harpeth Hall, attended Peabody and New York School of Design.  Married drummer Jerry Carrigan and toured the  world.  Bought and sold antiques.  Operated Evelyn Anderson galleries in Nashville and, later, her own store, Westbury House in Columbia.  Loved cats, art and music.  Multi-talented, optimistic and always enthusiastic about her next project.   She did the drawing at the bottom of the flyer for one of the showcases she produced at Diamond 'n the Ruff, an early 80's Broadway club.  Jerry and Carolyn were our first real friends in Nashville.  We will always remember those early days with fondness for them and the great times we had.  We enjoyed many a wild Yahtzee game with Carolyn calling out, "Fever!" to roll those fives.  One of Jerry's affectionate names for her was "Carolondo" which was very appropriate to her classy demeanor.  His other was "Miz Jones" which he pronounced with great pride and jivey aplomb!  I can still hear him say it and it makes me smile!   So, on April 18th, we dedicate this show to you, Miz Jones and celebrate your life with love.   "No regrets...on to the next dream!".....Carolyn
