Mercy Lounge presents

Face To Face

Nashville Scene Critic's Pick …

Not to brag or nothin', but the night we spent hanging out in the attic at War Memorial with Face to Face might be one of our favorite magical, only-in-Music-City moments. The longtime SoCal skate-punk outfit had recently relocated here, and there was a case of free booze and an audience that consisted of us and a couple family members. But that was the acoustic version of Face to Face — and while it was awesome, it's no match for the balls-out brain-melting badassery of their full-band shows. The band's newest record, Three Chords and a Half Truth, finds them in top form, tempering their fists-in-the-air anthems with rich dynamics to create one of the most stellar sets of their 20-year career. With an undercard of unrivaled punk radness — Teenage Bottlerocket, Blacklist Royals and Joshua Black Wilkins — this is going to be another one of those magical nights, for sure
