Bonaparte Retreat and Crossroads Campus Proudly Present

Woofstock feat. Emmylou Harris

Country
Nashville Scene Critic's Pick …

Now in its second year, Woofstock gives dogs and their people a chance to enjoy the outdoors in a beautiful spot in the rolling hills outside Nashville. Woofstock is a benefit for a couple of hardworking organizations devoted to helping homeless pets and needy people. Founded by country-rock singer Emmylou Harris, Bonaparte’s Retreat is a Nashville nonprofit whose goal is to rescue dogs who have run out of time at Metro Nashville Animal Control. Meanwhile, Crossroads Campus puts disadvantaged people together with homeless cats and dogs. Today’s festivities include plenty of space for dogs and humans to roam, run and catch Frisbees. Bonaparte’s Retreat, Crossroads Campus and Nashville Humane Association will have booths, and there will be veterinarians on hand. There will also be music from a brace of performers that includes Harris, who recently released a fine collaborative album with Rodney Crowell, Old Yellow Moon.
