For nearly a decade, the Drive-By Truckers defied the prima donna-ism of modern rock ’n’ roll by averaging a new album every 16 months or so while still maintaining a grueling touring schedule. That’s why the almost three years since their last release, Go-Go Boots, has seemed like an eternity for DBT fans, despite the various solo projects that have filled the intervening months. Now with the recent reissue of their great “lost” live album, 1999’s Alabama Ass Whuppin’, and a new studio album on the way, America’s hardest working and most beloved biscuits-and-gravy rock band is back on the road to show everyone how it’s done. Let there be rock!
