Ruston Kelly w/Natalie PrassPop/Rock
At just 25 years old, Ruston Kelly can cross “playing the Ryman” off his bucket list. Not only did Kelly win over the sold-out crowd when he opened for the John Butler Trio earlier this summer, but he received a standing ovation after performing the solo set backed with nothing but his own guitar. The singer-songwriter, who penned Tim McGraw’s recent single “Nashville Without You,” can make a lot of noise with just a guitar, so expect to be blown out of the room at his Bongo residency this month. Every Wednesday, Kelly will be joined by a different guest, all of whom happen to be incredibly lovely and talented ladies: Tonight he’s with Natalie Prass, and he’ll continue his residency with Jill Andrews (Sept. 11), Angel Snow (Sept. 18) and Shelly Colvin (Sept. 25).
