Twin Peaks w/Music Band, Faux Ferocious & Kal Marks
We’re stoked that somebody blew the indie-garage-punk conch shell to assemble a bill of this caliber, repping several scenes and styles with flair, finesse and the grit you need to chase away those autumnal blues. Twin Peaks features youngsters from Chicago currently taking time off from college to give their music a shot. They deliver a powerful indie-surf wallop with a touch of ELO grandeur on their new full-length, Sunken. Local rogues Music Band provide a steady stream of shout-alongs battered in good country dirt. It’s high time we got a full-length from locals Faux Ferocious, who drop singles a couple of times a year that run the gamut from Jagger swagger to Devo angst, sometimes over the course of one song. Life Is Murder, the new LP from Boston’s Kal Marks, is a milkshake of deconstructed power pop bound together by Melvins-grade heaviness.
