Concert and Conversation
The Big E: Salute to Buddy Emmons

hosted by Bill Lloyd

Nashville Scene Critic's Pick …

In an astounding career that has lasted more than six decades, Buddy Emmons earned the title of World’s Foremost Steel Guitarist. First rising to prominence as a steel player for Little Jimmy Dickens, Ernest Tubb and Ray Price, Emmons became an in-demand session player working on both the West Coast and in Nashville, playing on hundreds of classic recordings. A conversation with Emmons about his life and career will be followed by a special tribute concert hosted by Bill Lloyd and featuring appearances by Duane Eddy, Dan Dugmore, Pig Robbins, Steve Fishell and more. Co-sponsored by the Americana Music Association, the event is free to museum members, attendees and AMA badge holders; seating is limited.
