Moving Forweird - Oliver Dodd w/Will Azada, Without Eyes, Grey People & Talk

Nashville Scene Critic's Pick …

Techno: not just a catch-all term for things that go bump in the night. In fact, unlike the other catch-all du jour, “EDM,” techno is a specific set of sounds with a specific aesthetic and a long history. It’s also way too weird for frat bros, doesn’t work in car commercials and probably couldn’t sell yogurt to middle-aged soccer moms — even on its best days. Which is all to say, we really love techno and welcome a night of dancing far from the corporate-sponsored freak shows that have come to personify the dance scene. Moving Forweird brings together some of the region’s best tech-heads, including Knoxville’s Will Azada, Memphis’ Without Eyes and Chattanooga’s Talk, as well as locals Oliver Dodd and Grey People, who just released an excellent collab single under the name Primitive Sci-Fi.
